Xavier B Morgan

Xavier Bromfield-Morgan is a Licensed Associate Counselling Psychologist and a Certified
Rehabilitation Counsellor providing culturally sensitive counselling, rehabilitation, interventions
and career support services to clients for 13 years. Xavier currently serves as the Associate
Psychologist with Jamaica AIDS support for life, Kingston Chapter providing psychological
support services to individuals living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. She is the founder of
Xen Counselling Space which provides counselling services to adults (individuals, couples,
families and groups counselling). Her passion for Jamaican with disabilities led to the formation
of non-profit, Inclusive Workforce and Transition Limited which provides advocacy, counselling
services, vocational rehabilitation counselling, supported employment, skills training and job
placements for individuals with disabilities.
Xavier’s treatment areas of expertise are depressive episode, anxiety, psychosis, suicide, stress
management, college/university issues, career/work counselling, relationship issues, men’s
issues, sexuality and gender identity issues, adjusting to HIV status, medical diagnosis, wellness
and self-care.
The Therapeutic approaches used by Xavier are informed and tailored in the areas of studies for
example, psychodynamic theories of counselling, Jungian/depth psychological perspective,
mindfulness based interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy,
motivational interviewing, solution focused, strength based therapies, creative and expression in
healing.
Xavier is a member of the American Counselling Association – American Rehabilitation
Counselling Division and, the Jamaican Psychological Society (JAMPSYCHE).
She is committed to partnering with clients by providing step by step encouragement needed to
realize their therapeutic goals, and offering guidance as clients connect with their inner self
which she calls the “Hearts of Hearts.”
